Selenium is a trace mineral that supports the immune system by playing a role in the production of an important antioxidant in the body called glutathione—a major antioxidant defense for the body. It also works with vitamin E to support the body’s natural defense system, and prevents free radicals from damaging healthy cells. Selenium is primarily used for antioxidant support and to help promote a healthy immune system. In addition, selenium plays a role in the production of thyroid hormone, which supports a normal metabolism.

Selenium is recommended to be part of a daily regimen for Heart Health, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, Longevity, Immunity.

DOSAGE and DIRECTIONS

Take one tablets daily with a meal (or as recommended by your health care professional). Keep bottle tightly closed and store in a cool, dry place. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Do not use if imprinted seal under cap is broken or missing.

PRECAUTIONS

Selenium toxicity is rare but can occur with high doses. Symptoms include depression, nervousness, nausea and vomiting. For a healthy adult, do not exceed 400 mcg/day. Various drugs, particularly chemotherapy drugs, may increase selenium requirements.
